Introduction
Consists of a straight or curved retaining surface, pivoted on a fixed axis at the sill. The design of the fish belly gate leaf can be operated from one end for spans up to 20m, since the closed shell structure offers high resistance against torsion. The bearings are rigidly anchored to the sill and spaced from 2.5m to 4m.
Description
The gate makes an angle from 60 to 70 degrees with the horizontal when it is fully open position. During fully closed position, the skin plate forms a continuous surface with the weir bottom, presenting no obstacles to the water flow.
